This collection is an index of individuals who were deceased or officially declared missing in various departments of France, between the years 1890 and 1970. Records typically include the name of the individual, the date and place of death, age at the time of death and the name of the spouse. Some records may include the date and place of birth, the place of residence and the names of the parents.

For individuals who left an inheritance, the reference to the inheritance file is included in the records. These tables were organized by tax registration offices, which correspond to territorial districts similar to French cantons. Individuals are registered in the office responsible for their commune of residence and/or the commune where the death occurred. Originally created for tax purposes, these records were used to oversee inheritance matters and remain a valuable resource for genealogical and historical research.

This collection was added following MyHeritage's acquisition of Filae.
